“Amateurs”

There’s something about blogs that’s always scared me to no end. The idea of (potentially) thousands of people reading what I write, in my choppy and lame English, has always made me too self-conscious to actually give it a try. So why now?

“That’s all any of us are: amateurs. We don’t live long enough to be anything else.” — Charlie Chaplin

I’ve been collecting scraps of knowledge for years, feeding myself from books, articles, lectures, and I’ve been regurgitating all of that mainly to myself and to my closest friends. And I’ve noticed a trend, the more I talk about it, the more I share it, the better it fixates in my mind. It’s not a novel idea, but the thought of writing to learn, and not to teach, has somehow always evaded my mind. That’s why.

This is my egotistical way to get better at what I do.
